I've always believed that when buying a new/used vehicle the dealership should be considered as part of your buying decision. IF you know anything about the service (friends/relatives/sites like these)you can make a more informed decision. Nevermind the make of car you happen to like right now - if the service/dealership is crap it won't matter how much you like the car, eventually you will hate the car as a result of the service.

I keep getting a request "it's time for service" from a dodge dealership that ruined my car a few years ago. Do they really expect me to bring it back again?

The real issue is that they should learn what criticisms you have. It's no good to carp about bad service if the service department never knows you have issues. What you do is send the owner an email and include a link to this site (or wherever)so they can read about their own company's service, and remind the owner that this info will never ever be deleted, that way it can keep on giving long after you never return to the service department.

I imagine your age had a lot to do with your treatment. Next time (wherever you go) wear your best sunday-go-to-meeting outfit to look like a young lawyer.
