Then, when we were all seated and waiting for the plane to get up and go, the captain came on the PA and told us that our flight was going to be delayed 30 minutes because someone fuelled the plane improperly. 30 minutes turned into 2 hours all too slowly and I think I arrived in Tampa by 8pm or so local time. (it was supposed to be a 5pm arrival) My experience with US Airways was nothing short of horrific. I was on one of their Philly to Seattle flights last year. My seat wouldn't recline because a broken arm rest had been repaired with several miles of duct tape. Leaving the plane after 6 nasty hours I saw that the seats on the other side of the aisle had all received a similarly creative and low-budget fix. This airline is so bad that I would definitely rule out a relocation to any city where they were the dominant carrier. What you experienced is basically par for the course when flying USAir.
